Edmund Burke warned us that the left would cut itself off so radically from the origins of rationality in the Judeo-Christian tradition and worldview, that reason and science would become cover words used for grasping after power. Just as Communist leaders around the world would call their countries “People’s Democratic Republics” while creating mass repression and dictatorship, so the words reason and science for the left in the United States have become cloaks for destroying the freedom of others. When the left uses their so called reason and science the words have been hollowed out of their meaning while posing as high sounding political promises. Burke pointed out that the left’s liberty is repression. Their science is ignorance covered in political correctness. Their compassion is brutality. As Russel Kirk said, “Liberalism, once professing to advocate liberty, now is a movement for control over property, trade, work, amusements, education, and religion; only the marriage bond is relaxed by modern liberals .” In the end, their weasel words will result in the seizure of property and the destruction of life.
